Purpose and Context
1. To advise on the relevance, effectiveness and continued development of the CEIL programme content and to enable the EAB to act as a critical friend .
2. To create an environment that increases the depth of relationship between CEIL and employers.
3. To create a robust visible expression for CEIL-Employer interaction.
4. To create a context for input from employment sectors to keep the CEIL programme up to date and importantly relevant.
5. To provide an industry-led platform for employers working with CEIL @ Budmouth College on the development and delivery of a high-class, innovative employability training programme to meet local, regional and national priorities.
6. To gather market intelligence on employer recruitment needs and plans wherever possible
7. To share the scholarship scheme opportunities with employers and forward plan participation to support a more student placement strategic approach in its delivery to the benefit of employers and students
8. To influence the content of the CEIL training model and scrutinise resources ensuring they are fit for purpose
9. To identify future trends and innovations in professional practice and recruitment
10. To engage in professional dialogue and identify opportunities for collaborative working
11. To create a strategically placed recruitment model for apprenticeships

‘The 2018 CEIL Employers’ Advisory Board endorses the accreditation scheme that underpins the CEIL programme of employability training at Budmouth College, including the listing of successfully accredited students from the programme on the CEIL website, confirming that listed students have reached the benchmark of professional awareness as set by the programme. The Board considers CEIL accreditation demonstrates that accredited students are pre-trained to face the challenges of the world of work.’
